Chapter 22 Perfectly Predicting the Draft

Davidson perfectly predicted the top fifteen picks, and directly made a big splash among a bunch of league bosses.

The senior executives of the teams here naturally have a mock list in their minds.

But their mock lists ended up being biased, not as perfect as Davidson predicted.

For a moment, many people looked at Davidson curiously, not knowing where Chuck Daly found such a magical young man.

Next is the Nets' first round No. 16 draw, and it is normal for Davidson to stop predictions.

After all, it is the draft of my own team. What's the point of predicting it?

"I announce that the New Jersey Nets chose George Murraysan from Romania with the 16th pick in the first round."

After Stern announced, many people in the audience showed dissatisfaction.

The Nets actually chose that stupid guy?!

Chuck Daly is probably completely out of sight this time. It’s not that Murraysan is not strong enough to enter the league, but that it is not worth choosing a draft pick that is far behind in the middle of the first round.

The bullet team, who was originally planning to use the second round of the third draw, was suddenly confused.

They had thought about being intercepted by others, but they didn't expect to be intercepted so early.

After Murraysan got it, Chuck Daly and Davidson both smiled satisfied at the same time.

Davidson did not dare to continue to predict the next draft because the predictions were definitely inaccurate.

The original normal draft pick was directly disrupted because Murraysan was selected in advance.

At least before the second round of No. 3 picks were finished, Davidson could not accurately predict the newcomers' rankings.

Stern announced one roster after another of first-round rookies on stage.

"Young man, keep predicting that your Nets' signing has passed. See if you can hit all the shots tonight. If you can hit all the shots, I think you will definitely be on the headlines of the newspaper tomorrow." Don Cheney, then head coach of the Pistons, said to Davidson with interest.

The draft was actually quite boring for them, and the whole process took about three or four hours.

And for such a long time, the only thing they really need to make a decision is ten minutes. In the rest of the time, the only thing they can do is find some topics to chat.

Now that a young man like Davidson has appeared, everyone naturally wants to pass the time.

Davidson waved his hand, "It's about to arrive for our Nets' second round pick soon. Let's make predictions after our Nets have finished the selection."

The Nets still have a 36-pick draft pick. Stern has announced the first 27-pick rookie, and it is indeed almost the Nets' choice.

"Okay, then we'll wait and see, young man, I hope you can bring us some surprises." Don Cheney said with a smile.

Some people looked at Davidson curiously. The young man seemed to be very confident. Could he really guess the list of the second round?!

In their opinion, this is completely impossible.

It is difficult to guess the top fifteen rankings, but it is not as difficult as it is. If you are lucky, it is not impossible to guess all of them.

But if you guess all the next round, it would be really hard to describe it as if you were ascending to the sky.

Chuck Daly looked entangled. His original idea tonight was to let Davidson show his face, but now Davidson shows his face a little too big...

If I could really guess the next round, Chuck Daly would be sure that Davidson would definitely be a hit tonight.

But if the prediction is wrong, it would be a bit embarrassing.

Davidson's guess of the top fifteen rankings before was enough to surprise Chuck Daly. After all, even a veteran coach like him could not accurately predict every ranking.

Now that Davidson has done it, Chuck Daly feels that he has underestimated Davidson.

Next, the Nets chose John Best, an unknown unknown man at the 36th pick.

Seeing that the Nets had finished their selection, everyone looked at Davidson.

Davidson cleared his throat.

"The Lakers will choose Nick Van Exel in the next 37 picks."

"The 38th overall pick is Connor McCree."

“39th pick…”

In just a few minutes, Davidson kept talking from the 37th pick to the 54th pick.

"I announced that the Lakers chose Nick Van Exel from the University of Cincinnati with the 10th pick in the second round."

"I announce that the Atlanta Hawks selected Rich Manning from the University of Washington with the 13th pick in the second round."

...

The audience was silent, the entire venue was extremely quiet, and everyone stared at Davidson as if they had seen a ghost.

Although the result of the second round has not been announced yet, Davidson predicted that all of the first ten second round picks will hit.

How is this possible?! Such a question is circling in everyone's mind.

In their opinion, this is completely impossible.

Even the top executives who have been struggling in the league for half their lives find it impossible. It is conceivable how incredible Davidson's performance just now was.

After reading one second round after another, Davidson's prediction is still accurate.

When the Suns, who had the 54th pick, selected Brian Wilson, the entire venue was completely in full swing.

"What a joke?! Old Chuck, where did you find this guy!" Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan opened his mouth wide and his face was shocked.

"Am I dreaming that this kid really predicted the draft list perfectly? How is this possible? Something that God can't do."

"It's amazing. This kid has done something amazing. I think after the news spreads, he will definitely become the highlight of this draft tonight."

"No matter how I think it's impossible. How could someone really predict the draft perfectly. Even if he is Stern, it's impossible to do this, because we don't know which players we will choose in the second round."

Many people were completely shocked by Davidson.

Seeing all the shocked expressions around him, Chuck Daly was very relieved.

He never expected that Davidson would have such a skill.

Perfect prediction of the draft? In Chuck Daly, this is something that God can't do.

But Davidson did it, Chuck Daly grinned excitedly.

It seems that my previous decision was not wrong, and it was a wise decision to let Davidson enter this industry.

It can be seen that Davidson has a very terrible talent in this industry.

If you don’t have talent, how could you accomplish such a feat?!

"Old guys, your vision should keep pace with the times. Davidson is the data analyst I specially hired on Wall Street." Chuck Daly said with a proud look on his face.

He was really proud. Davidson was like his own son. Now that his child is so popular, he just doesn't have a long tail, otherwise he would have to go to heaven.

"You guys talk first. We will rush back to New Jersey tonight. By the way, we are going to put Sam Poway on the shelves. If you are interested, please contact me anytime."
