Chapter 1 Psychological Test (Part 2)

The second question is a hypothetical scenario that needs to be described.

There are two magnetic levitation railways, one is abandoned and one is in use. Ten children go to the railway tracks to play, one child insists on playing on the deserted railway tracks, while the other nine run to the railway tracks to play because they think the deserted railway is not bright enough.

"When you saw that the maglev train had appeared two hundred meters away, you found the children playing one hundred meters away. At this time, there is a conversion track in your location, which can switch the guide rail to the abandoned railway track. What will you do at this time?" The captain repeated the question and asked Zhao Li very seriously.

Zhao Li understood that this should be a so-called psychological test question to confirm which unit he served, but the question was obviously not that easy.

After thinking about it carefully for a while, Zhao Li answered very seriously: "Report to the Chief, I think I can only call the first aid hotline and then run to the children immediately to see if there is any rescue?"

The captain frowned, as if he didn't understand Zhao Li very much: "Why? Do you know what we want you to answer, right?"

"Report to the Chief!" Zhao Li followed the standard for answering questions as always. He would never be wrong to call him a senior: "I know, but I still insist on my answer."

"Tell me, let me see." The captain sat upright, wanting to hear what Zhao Li would say. After the question just now, the captain even hoped that Zhao Li could say something unique.

"Sir, the speed of modern magnetic levitation trains reaches more than 1,800 kilometers per hour, that is, at least 500 meters per second. The position I stood in the question is 200 meters away from the train and 100 meters away from the children. The two are at most 300 meters apart. According to the speed of the train, it takes only 0:6 seconds for the two to collide." Zhao Li sat on the chair, trying hard to keep himself straight, talking like a trained soldier.

"It's only 0.6 seconds. Sir, what I need to do is turn my head, see the child, and make a judgment." Zhao Li looked straight at the captain: "Sir, although I think I am excellent, I am not as good as this."

The captain's expression obviously relaxed, and he looked at Zhao Li with a smile again: "Very good, soldiers, few people can see the key to this problem. You did it, congratulations."

"Thank you, sir!" Zhao Li did not dare to show much excitement. He knew that the test had started from the moment he entered the door and would last until the end. The answers to the questions accounted for up to 50% of the evaluation, and the others would be evaluated from the whole process, so he did not dare to relax at all.

"What would you do if you had enough time to make a judgment and take action?" The captain continued to ask. The two lieutenants next to him still said nothing, and kept looking at Zhao Li with that serious look, which made Zhao Li not dare to make any changes at all.

"Sir, there will be no forks on the high-speed magnetic levitation rail." Zhao Li still did not answer this question directly, but instead said a common sense question: "The assumption premise of the question does not exist."

"Very good." The captain was not angry that Zhao Li did not answer the question directly for two consecutive times: "So, assuming that this is an ordinary train, what would you make a choice?"

Zhao Li still pondered for a while before answering: "Sir, I will choose to let the train pass normally." The answer was very calm, and the three lieutenants did not hear any signs of Zhao Li's inner struggle.

"You chose to sacrifice those nine children and keep one?" Finally a lieutenant next to him spoke: "What is the logic?"

"Sir, playing is not allowed on the railway running normally." Zhao Li replied naturally: "That child did not make any mistakes, and he does not need to and should not be responsible for the mistakes of the other nine children."

"But children are children after all, and they have no ability to act. Do you rather sacrifice them all for the sake of the playful and curiosity of a few children, but you are not willing to sacrifice the sacrifice of one child in exchange for the survival of most of their people?"

"Sir, everyone must be responsible for their actions." Zhao Li emphasized his point of view: "Even children are the same. Otherwise, we don't need to educate children to follow the correct laws and make the right choices, because if too many people make mistakes and innocent people will be sacrificed, those laws have no meaning."

The three chiefs all seemed to look at Zhao Li in a strange way, without saying a word, and the silent pressure made Zhao Li feel very uncomfortable.

"Also, sir." Zhao Li had to say something to relieve the pressure he was facing. His words also made the three sirs focus on him again.

"Everyone just saw that there were more than nine children than one child, but no one had ever thought about the people on the train." Zhao Li didn't think that his choice was wrong at all: "The people on the entire train should not be sacrificed for the playfulness of a few children. The sir, on an abandoned railway track, could not imagine what kind of disaster would happen!"

This time, the three commanders were really speechless. After a while, the captain asked again: "What if you receive the commander's command to switch?"

"I will execute the order." Zhao Li replied without hesitation: "But I reserve the right to complain to the Military Arbitration Commission afterwards."

"Very good!" The captain praised again and nodded: "You can leave now."

Zhao Li stood up, gave the three commanders a not-standard military salute again, and turned around and walked out. Although it was not very standard for salute or walking, the three commanders had no intention of being dissatisfied.

The captain lowered his head and recorded another sentence on Zhao Li's assessment: I thought carefully, calmly when encountering things, clear responsibility, and strong sense of justice. Then, I exchanged opinions with the other two lieutenants. After no objection, the lieutenant next to the display screen entered the assessment results into the terminal on the table.

"Next..." While entering here, the next evaluation has begun.

When another recruit entered the evaluation room, Zhao Li's evaluation results had appeared on the terminal display.

"It is recommended to train as an officer."

"Not suitable for occupations: staff officers, special operations personnel, large-scale team commanders."

"Suitable for occupations: logistics managers, front-line combat personnel, and living support personnel."

“Fit for the military: all fit.”
