Section 955 Food always crosses races

The tent was filled with the aroma of beer, the aroma of roasted pork legs and grilled sausages. Outside the tent was a carnival, ranging from thrilling roller coasters, pirate ships, to classic bumper cars, and nostalgic carousels. There were beauties and handsome men in beautiful Bavarian national costumes, and beautiful felt hats of various shapes everywhere.

There were parade carriages dressed up everywhere, and pepper and honey cakes everywhere. Because the tent was crowded and noisy, seats were really hard to find. Yun Luo finally chose to bask in the open-air seat outside the tent, drinking beer and watching the scenery.

Oktoberfest, the most famous and grand folk celebration in the world, originated from the wedding of King Ludwig I of Bavaria and Princess Theresa in 1810.

In order to allow Munich citizens to share the joy of the royal family, King Maximilian I decided to hold a celebratory Jockey Club on the grass in the southwest suburbs of the city, which was named Teresa Lawn. The following year, Ludwig, who loved to hold events, continued to hold this celebration and added new elements.

This event was very popular among Munich citizens and has been preserved. As time passed, the final horse racing club was cancelled, but the carnival event was finally preserved. Later, due to weather reasons, the Oktoberfest began on the last Saturday of the end of September every year and lasted for 16 days.

Two centuries later, this 16-day festival attracts more than 8 million tourists from all over the world every year and carnival all night. For this festival, a beer was specially brewed. At 11 a.m. on the first day of the carnival, the beer workers' parade (brewersparade) kicked off the entire Oktoberfest.

The parade starts at the Sonnenstras, and finally arrives at the open-air square via Schwanthalerstras. Visitors from all over the world and citizens of Munich joined the joyful parade in festive costumes. At 12 noon, the mayor of Munich will host the opening ceremony on time in the beer tent. The first beer always belongs to the governor of Bavaria. When the governor raises his glass and shouts "Cheers", music in the beer tent, and the beer of the Oktoberfest begins to be sold.

Every year at the Beer Festival, more than a dozen large tents set up by old beer stadiums will gather in the square. The entire Beer Festival will consume 7 million liters of beer, eat 750,000 roasted chicken, more than 100,000 pork sausages, and a large number of roasted pork legs, grilled fish and various snacks and desserts.

It was already evening when we arrived in Rotenberg. It was already dark. Apart from feeling the bumpy cobblestone path, we could no longer find the feeling of a medieval ancient town.

After checking in, I heard the lively gongs and drums outside the window, as if the yangko accompanied the Beijing Square. I couldn't help but feel restless, put down my luggage and hurried out, looking for the sound. I left the hotel and walked along the alley towards the brightly lit direction. Not far away, a crowded square appeared.

The sound of gongs and drums had stopped at some point, and a large group of people surrounded the middle of the square. Yun Luo subconsciously glanced at the watch and at 8 o'clock in the evening. Yun Luo, who had done his homework seriously, immediately confirmed his position. Yun Luo was standing in the square in front of the city hall. The group of people must be watching the night watchman tonight's city tour! (No camera is brought.)

In the Middle Ages, night watchmen came to protect the safety of the city at night. Now, every 8 o'clock, night watchmen still appeared on time in the Town Hall Square. However, his job was no longer to be vigilant, but to take everyone to the city.

The night watchman still dressed in the medieval period. He was wearing a black windbreaker, holding candlelight and a strange-looking axe. The night watchman introduced himself to everyone in a humorous tone, as well as the responsibilities of the medieval night watchman, and then led everyone to visit local historical buildings.

People have mixed opinions about German food. Some people use "hard to swallow and boring" to describe it. Some people say "drinking wine and eating meat in large cubes" and "the happiest thing in life is just like this. What's going on? Only after you taste it yourself can you experience the wonderfulness.

When talking about German food, Yunluo and Yanchenyu think of pork elbows, sausages, wine, bread, cheese, etc. Let’s talk about wine first: the many towns on both sides of the Rhine, Moselle, Main, and Neckar River that we visited this time are the main production areas of Riesling wine. There are large grape estates in Rüdersheim where Yunluo and Yanchenyu stayed.

Here, while looking at the beautiful scenery on the Rhine bank, you can taste the best Riesling wine. Germany has a relatively high latitude and the main grape variety is white grapes. However, compared with neighboring countries France and Italy, German wines are unknown. This may be due to the fact that the Germans love beer bars more. It is said that the average annual beer consumption of a German is 127 liters.

However, the wine consumption is only 23 liters. In a country known as the "beer kingdom", the light and delicious, fragrant Riesling can only be at a disadvantage. When it comes to German beer, I really drink a lot along the way, especially in Bavaria. It is common to have 3-4 cups (about 2 liters) of beer a day.

Compared to the dark beer schwarz, Yunluo felt that the white beer here was more delicious than in China. It was a great pleasure to have a cup of lakes and mountains in the Alps.

Everyone concentrated all German delicacies on sausages and beer. In fact, German bread is the king of bread in the world. Because Germany is located at the intersection of wheat and rye cultivation sites, this unique geographical advantage has created the diversity of German bread.

When I came to Yunluo, Germany, I realized that the Germans regarded bread as breakfast, Chinese food, dinner, and late-night snacks. Every meal was inseparable from bread. When I walked on the road, the air was filled with the fragrance of toast.

Every morning I came to the restaurant, and all kinds of breads were placed in the dining area. I took a basket, picked up a few favorite breads, served with cheese and ham, and a cup of coffee. A healthy day began.

Most German breads are as hard as stones, hard on the outside and soft on the inside, but such breads are very competitive after entering the mouth and become more and more delicious as they eat them. This kind of newbread bread is Yunluo's first taste. The bread is covered with coarse salt on top, which looks very cute. The coarse salt slowly melts in the mouth, and the slightly salty taste is mixed with the milky aroma of the bread. You can't stop eating it.

German sausages Germany has more than 1,500 kinds of sausages, and there are dozens of them starting from the breakfast every day. Yunluo cannot distinguish the name and type of sausage. When you see your favorite, you will try one piece. Each tastes are almost the same. But it is not exactly the same. In addition to breakfast, you can't help but come over one by passing by the sausage stall in the afternoon. I can only say that it looks too appetizing.

German cheese knows that they have to go to France to eat cheese, but after many people go to Europe, they think French cheese is not as delicious as German. Yunluo is not a cheese lover, but seeing soft cream cheese, hard cheese, and green onions on the table, which have different changes every day, I finally couldn't help but try a bite of "b-day l' cheese.

I was a little uncomfortable at first because there was a layer of patellar-like film outside, but when I continued to eat it, the taste became more and more pleasing. It was smooth and delicate. The milky fragrance stayed between my lips and teeth and would not dissipate for a long time. If you are a cheese lover, you must come here to pack some and go home and slowly enjoy the pleasure it brings to you!

German pork elbows are also essentially different in southern Germany and northern Germany. The pork elbows in the Berlin region in the north are marinated in salt water overnight to make the elbows taste delicious. Cook them in vegetable stock until the elbows are soft and rotten. They are generally enjoyed with sauerkraut and pea puree. The meat is pink in the picture below.

It is similar to the white-boiled meat in Yunluo and Yanchenyu. However, the roasted elbow in the southern Bavaria region is more famous and is one of the essential dishes in German beer halls. Generally speaking, roasted pork elbow will be cooked first in vegetable stock.

Then put it in the oven or barbecue and fry it. In order to make the crust crispy, the oven must be turned to high temperature and baked for more than ten minutes before the crust of the German roasted pork elbow will be golden and crispy, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

After tasting two different elbows, Yunluo prefers this kind of boiled white, which looks fat. But it has no greasy feeling at all, and the meat is soft and melts in the mouth. It is accompanied by sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. There is a scent between the lips and teeth, which can't be removed for a long time. With a large glass of beer, this is German flavor.

In addition to the five must-eat delicacies in Germany, there is also a snack called curry sausage in Germany. It has been 60 years of history among street snacks in Berlin and is now everywhere. Choose your favorite sausages, fry them, and chop them up, and cut them into pieces.

Then pour hot tomato sauce, sprinkle with curry powder, and then freshly baked fries. It is hot and delicious. You will know after eating it. The price is only 4 euros.

Due to the time of traveling for a while and not doing enough homework, I cannot give you much help in eating. Breakfast is a buffet provided by the hotel. Wherever I go, I feel hungry and look at a good restaurant, and 90% of dinner is spent in the hotel.

However, every hotel in Germany is like a restaurant, and the chef's level is very good. No one has disappointed Yunluo. Although he did some homework when he came out, he did not arrive even because parking was inconvenient, or too tired, and time was too tight. Yunluo posted these good restaurants that others mentioned.

I hope everyone can have the opportunity to enjoy the food. Heidelberg 101 pork chops really have 101 pork chop sets. The Knights Theme Restaurant Rothenburg Grandmother's Kitchen and of course the Hitler Restaurant in Munich. In the past half month, there are about 5.6 restaurants that have made Yunluo remember more deeply. 1. Schonburg's castle restaurant history and culture Rein River scenery.

This time, Yunluo was booked on Booking. Since the itinerary was determined ten days before departure, I encountered the National Day holiday. The city center, lake view and mountain view were all fully booked. Fortunately, Yunluo and Yan Chenyu drove by themselves, and finally booked the accommodation a little further from the center of the town.

It is estimated that the driving time is more than ten minutes, and the room is good and the price is cheap, basically around 1,000 yuan. Of course, Yunluo's favorite is Fusen's sommerhotel, which is especially recommended to everyone! The price is 1,700 yuan (including breakfast).

When you come to Mainz, you must go to the Cathedral. Mainz Cathedral is one of the most gorgeous churches in Germany, also known as St. Martin's Cathedral, close to Mainz's historical center and the Pedestrian Street Market Square.

This 1,000-year-old Romanesque cathedral is the cathedral of the Diocese of Mainz. It is one of the most important church buildings in Germany. Its significance in Mainz is no less than the Rhine Carnival.

This church is a famous Roman-style building, known as a classic combination of classical beauty and mature beauty. It is a light red sandstone building. There is an octagonal tower at the top. It has experienced the real baptism of fire. Due to war and fire, the cathedral has been restored many times. When the clouds fall and the fish go, the top of the church bell tower is still under restoration.

The interior of the church is also light red sandstone. Without the exquisiteness and gorgeousness of Rococo, it is more solemn and dignified. Even in the prosperous market, it seems like a different world. Even noisy children step into the church, they will involuntarily slow down, lower their voices, and make a sincere prayer.

A dozen minutes drive from Mainz, you will arrive at another historical city on the other side of the river - Wiesbaden. I chose it because the whole Wiesbaden is a good place to enjoy life. It has the oldest and most elegant spa in Europe. You can definitely enjoy the top service here, which is extremely luxurious.

This is the db railway station. The city has a long history of more than two thousand years, which can be traced back to the ancient Roman period. The Romans discovered the hot springs here and built a bathhouse for their soldiers on the grass, so the name Wiesbaden was born, which means the bathhouse on the grass.

Wiesbaden is not big. When passing through this green grassland, what caught my eye was a red building connected to it. The top of the pointed tower went straight into the clouds. Yun Luo couldn't help but scream: "This must be a famous market church."

After parking the car and passing through the square, the red church is very spectacular and eye-catching against the blue sky and white clouds. The church is all made of red bricks, with the main building as high as 98 meters. It is the tallest building in Wiesbaden. The market church still maintains its original appearance.

Because the most beautiful section along the way is in the middle Rhine Valley, from Mainz to Koblenz in Germany.
