The first ninety-ninth section makes a prayer

From the Temple of Philee to the Temple of Edford, the revenge of a god is complete~ The myth of Egypt is that the brother and sister two gods get married and have 4 children, and then these four get married in pairs, kill each other, and resurrect...

There is a very famous statue of the Basalt Eagle God in the Temple of Edford. It is famous because of its proper expression and a standard revenge expression. In addition, there was a religious ceremony here in ancient times. A few days a year, the statue of the Eagle God's wife, the Eagle God, was carried here on a boat in a temple in Luxor, and the couple was reunited for a few days before sending them back.

When I returned to the boat, I still took the carriage from the time I came. Because the driver took photos of Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo when I went back, I kept signaling him to ask Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo to pay him money, and said all the way... Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo didn't give him any money in the end, and he didn't come to bother. It is said that when someone in the same group was riding the carriage the day before, he took the reins, and the driver asked him for tips. 5 pounds was not enough, and finally he even gave him a box of cooling oil.

Today I only arranged two temples to visit, and the rest of the time was free to pass. In fact, it was really comfortable to take a boat on the Nile River. The river water was very calm, and there was no feeling of shaking on the boat. Sometimes I couldn’t tell whether it was in the river or on the shore.

Lying on the lounge chair on the top of the boat, bask in the sun leisurely, read books, and write something. The surrounding river surface reflects the shadows of sand dunes and oasis on the shore. From time to time, a few birds fly by, and the river wind blows on it, which is very comfortable - except for the severe sun exposure in summer.

At about 5 pm, the cruise ship will pass through a sluice gate, and there will be a drop of 6 or 7 meters upstream and downstream. The principle is very simple, so I won’t explain it. What’s more interesting is that when you arrive at the sluice gate, vendors with small boats will immediately surge in both sides of the cruise ship. Holding their scarves and robes for you to show you, and keep shouting Arabic-style "onedollar!onedollar". If a tourist likes one, they will throw it up for you to pick it carefully, and at the same time they will throw it up a few more. If you don’t pick it up, throw it back directly. If you pick it up, grab the money in an unwanted thing and throw it back. Sometimes there will be times when there are mistakes, such as the vendor throws it on the sunshade or the tourists throw it into the water, and it doesn’t matter.

If you are in the Nile River, don’t be lazy. It is sometimes necessary to go to bed late and get up early. For example, the sunrise in the morning. The sunrise will be around 4 or 5 o’clock in the summer. If you want to see it, you have to get up early... However, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo have not yet gotten up, and the sunset has basically not fallen much.

It is difficult to access the Internet on a cruise ship, and the trans-ocean phone number is a bit outrageous, 20 pounds a minute. So if you need to contact the country when traveling to Egypt, it is best to run an international telephone service in China. For example, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo were on the train on the first day and on the next three days, and they were on the cruise ship for several consecutive days. (In fact, all the hotels where Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo stayed in groups are more expensive to access the Internet).

We are leaving the cruise today. What is more surprising is that Mellard still arranged the Imperial Valley for Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo, but it was a self-funded project. Despite the self-funded expenses, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo decided to go. So today it will be more difficult. Because of the adjustment of the previous cruise time, the Queen Temple and Mennon Stone Statue on the west bank of the Nile were postponed for one day, and the Imperial Valley was temporarily joined. So today we need to go to 3 temples and 1 Imperial Valley, and we have to leave before 3 pm to go to the Red Sea. So, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo got up at around 5 o'clock again.

Luxor was the capital of ancient Egypt for a long time. It was called Thebes at that time, meaning a city protected by gods. But now it is called Luxor because the Arabs came here to see countless temples and thought it was a palace. So the city called it the palace was Luxor.

After the pharaohs of ancient Egypt ascended the throne, they were keen on two things in architecture - building temples and tombs, so Luxor, as the ancient capital, was naturally a temple, with ancient tombs everywhere. Millard said that 2/3 of the world's cultural relics are in Luxor, which may need to be verified, but many of the cultural relics here are certain.

The Valley of the Kings has more than 60 tombs, including the tombs of the Pharaoh, prince, and priests. Mirad's explanation is very interesting. He said in his Arabic Chinese: "The original Pharaohs chose pyramids as cemeteries, but it was easy to be discovered and tomb robbed. So when he arrived in Thutmos I, he found that this situation was not possible, so he began to choose the Valley of the Kings as the tomb" - he didn't know who taught him.

Speaking of the temperature in the desert on the west bank of the Nile River, it was not so hot when it first arrived in the morning. As a result, it started to be exposed to the sun and the high temperature soon, and the sweat dripped straight down from the body. The ancient Egyptians believed that the sun rose from the east, so the east was where living people lived and the west was where dead people lived, so there were many cemeteries on the west bank of the Nile River, and the pyramids were also on the west. The reason why I chose such a place where birds do not shit seemed to be many reasons, including: it was difficult to find, close to mountains, high temperatures, and dryness and easy to preserve mummies.

You can visit 3 tombs with one ticket here. It is not realistic to choose which ones to go in advance, because some tombs will be closed in turn, and it may not be possible to open them when you really come.

Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo visited three tombs of Ramses, in order of the fourth, third and first. The reason why the Kings Valley must come to see is because of the murals. The murals of the Kings Valley are magical. The paintings from thousands of years ago are still in color, just like they have just been painted. Everyone even thinks that they were colored again after excavation. The tomb chambers are full of long passages leading to the sarcophagus. Looking inside, the four walls are full of bright murals, which is amazing.

However, almost all the burial objects in the Valley of the Emperors were left. Only Tutankhamun's tomb was not stolen, but they were moved to the Egyptian Museum. The pharaohs tried their best to leave huge wealth for their funerals, but now they are not left.

Tutankhamun's tomb requires separate tickets, which is said to be of little significance. His tomb chamber is not as good as other pharaohs. The reason why he charges for it alone is only because he is more famous and contains mummies. In addition, the Valley of the Emperors also has some interesting and speechless phenomena, such as turning in the middle of the tomb chamber, borrowing the tomb chambers of his ancestors, and even digging into other people's tomb chambers.

After meeting with everyone who did not participate in the Valley of the Kings, they arrived at the Temple of Hatshepsut.

The two ancient civilizations of China and Egypt also have some similar coincidences, including a female ruler. Hatshepsut should be the only real female pharaoh in ancient Egypt (Cleopatra was not an Egyptian after all, and her period was no longer considered the Pharaoh dynasty; there was also a female pharaoh in the transitional period, but she did not rule the entire Egypt), but there was very few records about her, because after her death, her temples, statues, and murals were man-made destruction, perhaps revengeful. Thutmos III was only 8 years old when she ascended the throne, so his mother Hatshepsut became a pharaoh herself, and after her death, Thutmos III became a pharaoh again. It seems that there is no record of how she died. No one can tell whether it was the destruction of his son's revenge.

The Queen's Temple is very distinctive, with three floors, stairs in the shape of a step, and the third floor is inside the mountain. A long stairway in the middle of the temple leads directly to the shrine, which is very spectacular. At first glance, I feel like I see the Forbidden City. The temple mainly records a story made up by the Queen herself, that is, she is the daughter of the Sun God and her mother, to show that she is qualified to be the Pharaoh.

In Egypt for so many days, the Arabic "onedollar" sounds endlessly. Hawkers around almost all attractions kept shouting at you, and even rushed to you to pull you to see his products. There are many children who are holding some handicrafts that are not as exquisite as them, and they shout like this. It makes people think that in such an environment, these children have been hawking here since childhood, and may be hawking like this for the rest of their lives.

After leaving the Queen Temple, Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo came to a village selling marble carvings. To be honest, Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo felt that the craftsmanship of modern Egypt was really not as good as that of the past. Of course, Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo could not require a stone sculpture worth tens or hundreds of dollars to be as delicate as the statue of Nalfertiti, but the statues seen by Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo here really felt a bit shoddy... Perhaps the aesthetics of Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo were also limited.

It can only be used as a landmark to pass by. The Mennon stone statue was originally located in front of the temple built by Amenhotep III. Later, the temple collapsed, leaving only the severely weathered statue isolated here. Due to the severe weathering, the stone statue would make a crying sound when the wind passes. When the Romans came here, they thought of their mythical hero Mennon, so they called the Mennon stone statue. However, the Egyptians repaired the stone statue and stopped making any more noise. The tickets for the West Bank scenic spots written in the book were sold here, so this place was also a must-pass place.

If we follow the itinerary of Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo, most people are probably tired of the aesthetic taste of the temple when they come here. Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo have already proposed that they don’t want to see the temple anymore because they think they are mostly illusory and similar myths, all of which are similar buildings and reliefs. However, when you come to Egypt to do your homework, you should understand it by looking at these things. And if you understand it in advance and look at these temples, you won’t feel that they are so similar. The styles and artistic levels of temples in different periods are still somewhat different.
