About the setting of realm and strength
I originally thought that the ability level of Xianxia should be a little blurred, but since someone doesn't understand it, I'd like to list it here. Of course, if I think I can sort it out, you can't read it. (I originally wanted to post the author's words, but I just wrote it for two thousand words, so I'd just post it into a single chapter. Don't worry, it's free, I won't cheat money on such things.)
Traditional practice: seeking spirit, guiding qi, enlightening the mind, transcending the mortal, celestial immortal, golden immortal, saint.
Demon spirit advances: enlightenment, transformation, enlightenment, transcendence, great demon, demon king, sub-star spirit (find a ball to be the real star spirit).
These two lines are parallel to each other, and can basically be regarded as physical cultivation and magic power cultivation. In the transcendence stage, both sides will make up for their own shortcomings. At the level of the great monster and the celestial immortal, except for one of them being able to transform into an archetype, it is just a matter of tendency. However, it is worth mentioning that traditional demon cultivators do not have inner alchemy. Their cultivation is a transformation of genes, and their cultivation exists in the bloodline. It is not so much about cultivation, but rather about mutated ancestor rebirth. Therefore, the monsters devour each other is actually plundering the other's ancestor rebirth gene, rather than cultivation and magic power.
In this book, these two lines will be used as the criterion for evaluating strength. To say that a certain demon king and a certain golden immortal is not that he practices traditional practice, but that he has the strength of a demon king or a golden immortal.
Then the key point is that the modern Qi training system only has five realms: refining essence into qi, refining qi into spirit, practicing spirit into return to emptiness, refining emptiness into Taoism, and then the realm of Daluo.
This route starts with balanced flow, magic power, and physical cultivation. In the stage of refining essence and qi transformation, the internal energy quality is not as good as that of the qi-induced cultivator, and the physical body is not as good as the transformed monster without the blessing of special magical powers. However, in general, under the premise that both sides do not use supermodel skills and spiritual treasures, refining essence and qi transformation can be fought according to the state of the previous state of transcendence. If you use a more common example, it is the level of the middle martial arts, the lower limit of the Swordsman, and the upper limit of the Heaven and Dragon Basketball Division.
When the Qi Refining and God-turning stage, the internal energy transforms into true energy, the quality gradually exceeds the magic power, and the style of painting gradually becomes fantastic. The combat power begins to soar. Although it is still impossible to live forever, its combat power begins to explode. In combination with the corresponding methods (such as the Qingcheng Sword Technique in the book), it can even compete with the great monsters and immortals without magical powers. For analogy, it is probably the second-rate Gao Wu, such as the strength of the protagonist group of the Xuanyuan Sword series (not considering the magical artifacts).
When practicing the spirit and returning to the emptiness, this stage is amazing. It is a process of using itself as a furnace and cauldron to refine the true essence pill into the emptiness pill. It is a realization of immortality. This realm can already stably defeat traditional celestial immortals and monsters. If there are supporting magic weapons and magical powers, even the golden immortals can touch the porcelain.
Then there is the heavenly tribulation. It should be noted that the heavenly tribulation will not directly increase combat power, nor is it a necessary condition for forming pills. Instead, it completely removes the behavior of Pangu will in the body. Therefore, as long as the virtual pill is formed, you can pass the heavenly tribulation at any time. The only benefit of overcoming the heavenly tribulation is to jump out of the three realms, not in the five elements, be immune to all the calculations of the heavenly path except the cause and effect line, and will not be disturbed by inner demons.
Only after pursuing the heavenly tribulation can one refine the emptiness and the Tao. It is not a forced demand, but because only by completely erasing Pangu's consciousness can one not be taken over by Pangu's body. Refining the emptiness and the Tao will be transformed into the golden elixir, and the saints are invincible. If one can successfully comprehend a rule (or Tao), one can directly enter the realm of Daluo and the same as the saints.
But the difference is that Daluo has no upper limit. Like Pangu, they can constantly plunder, comprehend other Taos and rules, constantly fill their golden elixirs, and keep getting stronger. The upper limit of the saint is Pangu (you need to kill all the other saints and collect Pangu’s inspirations), and they will be taken over.
It is worth mentioning that because the advantages of Qi training are known to anyone with a brain, at the time of Xu Xian, the traditional methods of practice have basically been abandoned, and the demon clan basically practices Qi training after transformation.
The Buddhist method is another way, which believes that the flesh and blood are bitter and weak, and will mix the power of wishes and will into the body during the process of practice to transform it into a "Buddha power" and integrate it into the body, which is a nearly physical practice method. It can cultivate the golden bones, the blood of the gold body, and it is collectively called the golden body. One can become an arhat, the second can become a Bodhisattva (Venus), and the third can realize the Buddha (Avalokitesvara and other Bodhisattvas have the strength of the golden immortals and the realm of the golden immortals). As for strength, the arhat belongs to the middle level of the celestial immortals, the Bodhisattva is the excessiveness of the celestial immortals to the golden immortals, and the Buddha is the great achievement of the golden immortals.
As for the relics, they are not inner alchemy, but a preliminary alienated body structure. Simply put, those monks are dead before they reach the realm of golden body. The semi-alienated body does not transform into fire and becomes relics. Therefore, a monk may burn many relics, but the relics are indeed the crystallization of Buddha's power, so it is not impossible to treat them as inner alchemy.
By the way, because the power of Buddha requires the blessing of will and faith, although it is a body refining, the process is a tempering of the spirit, a firm mind and a pure belief can only be upgraded. If you do not believe in Buddhism, no matter how powerful it is, you cannot be upgraded.
The advantage of Buddhist practice methods is that they do not eat resources. As long as they have a good mind, strong understanding, and firm beliefs, they can still cultivate even if they are poor. The Qi training system must eat well enough in the stage of refining essence into qi.
In addition, another advantage of Buddhism is that the body can be abandoned at will. The so-called golden bone, golden blood, Vajra body is just an external manifestation of Buddha's power. Even if the body dies, the soul can recondensate the Vajra body with Buddha's power. Even if it is reincarnated, as long as the memory is restored, it can still get back the power at any time (the dragon subduing is because of a bet, so that the magic power cannot be returned at any time), unlike other systems that even if memory awakens, they must be re-cultivated.
In this book, Cihang Pudu first had the base of the great demon, and then practiced Qi cultivation techniques. It passed in seconds in the early stage, but like Bai Suzhen, he was stuck in the realm of practicing the gods and returning to the emptiness. However, Cihang Pudu devoured the people's belief in Buddhism (and perhaps several golden bodies left by Buddhist masters), and cultivated the Vajra body of Buddhism with evil methods, and even practiced the secret bloodline of the dragon clan, trying to devour the ministers and the emperor's energy transformation dragon, which is equivalent to the fourth level of the celestial immortal strength of [arhat + dragon + return to the emptiness + big demon]. If you can overcome the heavenly tribulation, it is not a problem to enter the Golden Immortal directly, and you can beat the same level of high-quality playfulness if you enter the Golden Immortal.
