Chapter 192 I believe in you

It was already past eight o'clock in the morning when I returned to the position. I don't know when it was an upset drizzle in the sky, which made the already muddy mountain roads suddenly become like a stream, and I was filled with water without taking two steps. However, all this is nothing to me, who came down from the battlefield of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, it was just a little rain. This is much better than the ice and snow that would be frozen to death on the Korean battlefield.

However, the soldiers obviously did not adapt to this climate. When I got into the trenches in the rain, I heard several soldiers complaining in the rain: "When will this damn rain stop?"

Xie Xianjin laughed and said, "Comrade! Let's get used to it now. It would be nice to see two days a month here!"

"What? Only two days a month will it be sunny?" The soldiers couldn't help looking at each other when they heard this.

"It's the rainy season in Vietnam now!" Xie Xianjin wrote the pen and said, "Military uniform" with almost only shorts left on his pen. "Why do you think I'm wearing this? The military uniform will be rotten in two days, so I advise you... to take off the military uniform first and keep it back to wear it..."

"Company Commander Xie!" I shouted to Xie Xianjin across more than ten meters.

"Come!" Xie Xianjin was obviously used to activities in such weather. After answering, he ran to me and stood up with a few "Baji" sounds.

"Your advice is very good!" I patted his shoulder and said, "From now on, you are the instructor of my army. You are responsible for training them to fight in the rain. Are there any problems?"

When I heard Xie Xianjin talking to the soldiers just now, I realized that although our special reconnaissance brigade had conducted many aspects of training, I didn’t notice any details, so the soldiers may not be able to fully exert their combat effectiveness in such a rainy environment. We are likely to start a big battle in the near future, so the only way now is to get them to adapt to this climate as soon as possible.

Although Xie Xianjin's qualities in all aspects are not as good as us, his advantage is that he has been fighting in this climate for several months, so letting him train the troops is undoubtedly the best way.

"What? I... instructor?" Xie Xianjin looked at me with some doubts.

"That's right!" I said: "Your task is to adapt them to the battlefield environment. The shorter the time, the better. Is there any problem?"

"No problem!" Xie Xianjin stepped forward and answered, then asked: "Battorney General, when will it start?"

"It's now!" I responded without thinking.

"Yes!" Xie Xianjin turned around and shouted to the soldiers: "There are all, the Fourth Company is stationed on site, the Fifth Company, and the Sixth Company come with me..."

"Yes!" The soldiers were a little unwilling at first. This was not that they refused to suffer the hardships of training in raindrops. By the way, the training subjects of our special reconnaissance brigade were much more painful than this, but that they were not willing to listen to Xie Xianjin's orders. But after I stood forward and glared at them fiercely, they stood up unwillingly.

Seeing Xie Xianjin pulling the 5th and 6th companies to the bottom of the mountain, I then got back to my battalion headquarters. However, although this is the battalion headquarters, it is actually a cannon hole that can accommodate seven or eight people. Since several groups of people and even the Vietnamese Japanese have lived here before, they often stools in battles are solved here, so there is inevitably a strange smell in the cave, mixed with moldy smell, sweat smell, bloody smell and gunpowder smell that makes me feel like vomiting as soon as I walk into the cave.

I endured my disgust and walked into the hole. I shone the flashlight. It was wet everywhere. The ground was either mud or water-stacked, and there was no place to stand. The only place where people could rest was a "bed" built up by several shell boxes in the hole. A rain cloth was hung above it to prevent the rainwater from seeping from the top of the hole to wet the quilt on the "bed". But in fact, this was useless at all, because no place in the hole was dry, and even the air was filled with water, so the quilt had never been dry...

But I didn't care about this anymore. The one night of running around had already made me exhausted. I took off my already wet clothes in a few seconds and got into bed. But that feeling... I couldn't say it, but I felt dirty and sticky everywhere, and I was uncomfortable all over. Only then did I realize that although this battlefield was not as difficult and dangerous as the Korean battlefield, it was another torture for people. This torture was not only physically, but also psychologically. In comparison, sometimes I would rather go to the Korean battlefield to freeze it!

But there is nothing to say about this. We are all from the Special Reconnaissance Brigade, aren’t we? I am still the captain! It’s okay for Company Commander Xie and his soldiers to stay here for several months. We can’t stand it now?

Thinking of this, I became more patient. I suppressed goose bumps all over my body and closed my eyes and forced myself to enter a half-sleep state.

"Battery Commander! Battalion Commander... There is a situation!"

I was woken up by the guard's screams. From the guard's anxious screams, I could hear that something must have happened. Otherwise, the well-trained soldiers under my command would not be so panicked, so I sat up from the bed without even wearing military uniforms, grabbed the rifle beside me and asked, "What's the matter?"

"Renminal headquarters..." The guard said in a angrily voice: "The regiment headquarters was attacked by Vietnamese agents..."

"What?" I was stunned when I heard this, and without thinking, I grabbed the gun and rushed out of the anti-cannon hole.

As soon as I rushed out of the cave, I heard intermittent gunfire sounds from the rain in the north. I think our soldiers are still fighting against the Vietnamese special forces!

The soldiers were ready for battle at this time, and just waited for me to drive in the direction of the gunfire with my order... I didn't think much about it, and waved my hand to the soldiers and set off with the troops. However, after walking for a few steps, I was wet for a while before I slowly woke up - we couldn't go, this might expose our team and disrupt the overall plan...

Thinking of this, I stopped and raised my hand to signal the soldiers to stop moving forward. After several months of training, the soldiers of the Special Reconnaissance Brigade had learned to obey my orders unconditionally, so they all stopped at the first time, and no one asked questions.

However, Xie Xianjin couldn't help it anymore. He ran to me in a few seconds and asked anxiously: "Battery Commander, what's wrong? Why didn't you stop?"

I didn't answer him and asked back, "How long does it take to get to the regiment headquarters here?"

"Not far, it's only ten minutes if it's fast!"

"Then we won't go!" I said, "When we get there, the battle is over, and we will get nothing except exposing our identities!"

What I said is true, but the real reason is not because of this. If there was no plan I reported, then even if I didn't pull a team over, I would at least ask my hometown people and Li Zhifu and other company commanders to take a few people to try their luck on the possible route of the retreat of the Vietnamese agents, or I could also send a few to the regiment headquarters to see the situation to find out the strength of the Vietnamese agents.

But now I can't do anything because I'm worried that some Vietnamese agents will be hidden in our army, and they are always watching what is strange.

Of course, it is unlikely that we will be discovered by Vietnamese agents when we are mixed in friendly forces. After all, all the People's Liberation Army is the same? When we first came, we might still have brand new military uniforms, but now after a rain, we are all covered in mud and water army. But I don't take this risk, if the Vietnamese agents know that we are on the front line but are reluctant to do it... that will undoubtedly arouse the suspicion of the Vietnamese army.

"What? Don't go?" Xie Xianjin listened to my answer, of course he refused to give up. He looked at me with incredible eyes and said, "Battalion Commander! You are here to fight the Vietnamese special agents. This Vietnamese special agent is right in front of you. You are telling me not to go now? Xie Xianjin is a man, so you follow you. Unexpectedly... I didn't expect that I was blinded by me..."

"Where did you come from so much nonsense?" I interrupted Xie Xianjin impatiently and said, "What does it mean to respect me as a man and follow me? I said to Comrade Xie Xianjin, did you join the army on the first day or what? Have you never learned battlefield discipline or what? Do you follow me because you have to obey the orders of your superiors? If everyone is like you, then you can still have a big fuck!"

After scolding Xie Xianjin, I said to the soldiers with anger: "Everyone has it, return to the base!"

"Yes!" The soldiers responded and turned around and returned to Tsukiji, leaving only Xie Xianjin squatting on the ground without saying a word.

I didn't want to pay much attention to him, but when I thought that this guy was an impulse guy who could do anything. If he ran back secretly and went around to announce it, it would have ruined my big deal, so I turned around and sat on the mud in front of him.

There is a saying that dead pigs are not afraid of boiling water. Now my whole body is dirty anyway, so I don’t care if it’s even dirty. Anyway, if you want to wash, just stand up and let the rain be wet for a while.

"I'll say to Company Commander Xie!" I leaned over and said to Xie Xianjin, "You have to understand that our scouts are different from ordinary troops in war. We are more about using our brains to talk about strategies... I can guarantee you that your comrades will not sacrifice in vain. Do you understand what I mean?"
