Chapter 29 Surrounding the point to help

Chapter 29: Surrounding the point and attacking the support

"Fire!" With a command, the three anti-aircraft machine guns made a sound of "kick..." at the same time. Each bullet was fired, like an iron hammer, and hit the steel plate hard. The chains turned into the chamber like running water, and then in the blink of an eye, they turned into shells and jumped out of the chamber. The mortars were not idle either. Under the guidance of flares and searchlights, they quickly fired shells at the foot of the mountain.

Correspondingly, the U.S. military camp at the foot of the mountain changed immediately as if it was swept by a violent hurricane. In the blink of an eye, there were blood holes on the tent, and some were even directly beaten into rags. The panicked U.S. troops were like ants on the hot pan, looking for places to hide in under the light of flares and searchlights. But they could only blame them for underestimating the enemy before. They always thought that they had blocked all the volunteers in the tunnels and could not get out no matter what, so they did not build trenches at all. Even if there were, they were just a few mounds of soil made of sandbags. The anti-aircraft machine gun's bullets of more than ten millimeters thick and unparalleled penetration power, and the so-called fortifications were flattened in a few strokes, and then the U.S. troops hiding behind were covered with blood.

The bullets of the anti-aircraft machine guns were shot out one by one, and the scene could be described as "spectacular". Under the pale light of the flares and searchlights, mud and water were splattered everywhere where the machine gun bullets passed, and stones were beaten like flour. Every American army hit would be carried away by the inertia of the bullets. Blood, meat and various organs quickly filled the entire camp, and in a blink of an eye, there was no place that was not red.

Some unwilling US troops seemed to want to see which troops were on the high ground, or to provide attack conditions for friendly forces, so they turned their searchlights and shone on our positions.

But this approach is obviously unwise, because the searchlights are a very conspicuous light source in the night. How could the machine gunners of the volunteer soldiers let out such a good target? Before the enemy could turn the searchlights straight, they shot rows of bullets at the light sources. Soon, a few searchlights in the enemy's hands were knocked out and a ball of white smoke could no longer emit any light.

Some smart US troops knew to hide behind the row of tanks, and even moved quickly and drilled into the tank cabin without saying a word... At this time, the mines arranged by the soldiers in the tank worked. A loud bang was heard, a small flame emerged from the tank turret, and then a series of loud noises, and the flames exploded larger and larger. The distance between the more than ten tanks was very close, and the shock waves emitted by the tanks quickly detonated the mines in several surrounding tanks. After a while, the entire row of tanks became fireballs. Before the US troops hiding behind the tanks could react, they turned into firemen. The shrill howling sounded echoed in the valley, and the blood was shining by the flames of the tanks, and the whole world was red, adding a bit of cruelty and fear to the battlefield in the dark night...

But in a moment, the U.S. military camp with at least four or five hundred people at the foot of the mountain turned into a dead land, with dead land everywhere, and dead land everywhere. There were still many people in the corpse wailing, struggling, dragging pain and crawling everywhere, but these dying struggles were no longer enough to attract the attention of the machine gunners. They quickly extended the bullets to the distance and shot the back slope that originally belonged to our position.

The machine gun position we are in was originally used by the US military to control our back slope position, so the entire back slope is under the firepower of the anti-aircraft machine gun. In addition, in order to prevent our army from drilling out of the back slope, the US military also arranged a large number of US troops there to guard. At this time, several strings of flares were fired, and soon exposed groups of US troops on the back slope to our muzzle.

Although the US troops on the backscene have fortifications, their purpose is to prevent us from rushing out of the tunnel. The direction of defense and firepower is all facing the entrance of the tunnel, so their fortifications have no effect on us at all. In addition, the US troops who had just crawled out of the tent saw with their own eyes the group of US troops under the valley being beaten up like the autumn wind swept the fallen leaves. They all stood there with guns in a daze, and they didn't dare to go forward to support and didn't know how to run. It was not until our flares clearly exposed them to the gun that the US troops realized the danger and ran away with a shout...

But it was too late at this time. The deafening gunshots of the anti-aircraft machine guns sounded again, and rows of bullets flew out of the muzzle. Although the reverse slope was far away from the machine gun position and the anti-aircraft machine gun could no longer be accurately fired, the advantage was that the bullets were shot out, and there were too many US troops on the reverse slope. After a while, the scene in the valley camp was repeated again.

In some ways, the US troops who were hit on the backscene died even worse because once they were hit by bullets, they would be thrown high into the sky and then fell heavily at the foot of the mountain...

The US military responded slowly and soon ran towards the vertical angle of our shooting. But what they didn't expect was that the five machine gun positions surrounding these high ground were all in the hands of the volunteer soldiers, and these five machine gun positions were carefully selected by the US military. At this moment, there were no dead spots for us on the front and back slopes. They ran to the front slopes and provided opportunities for the soldiers on other machine gun positions. In an instant, there was a rain of bullets, and a large number of US troops were driven back like ducks...

The US troops were rushing around the high ground like a headless fly, and were repelled two or three times, and finally realized at the cost of blood that they were already in our encirclement.

This seems like a very strange thing. The reverse slope position that our regiment is stationed has five high grounds, which could have accommodated more than 3,000 people in our regiment. Now the US military is stationed at least thousands of people here. If it includes the US military in those camps, the total number will be almost 2,000. But this US military with nearly 2,000 people, and not the US military with modern equipment, is so easily surrounded by more than 400 people.

They also have weapons, rifles, machine guns, recoilless cannons, etc., but most of their weapons cannot hit us because of insufficient range. Some long-range weapons such as recoilless cannons, mortars, etc., can hit us, but as soon as they were lifted up, they were knocked to the ground by the dense bullets of the anti-aircraft machine gun.

If you want to blame, you can only blame the US commanders for setting these five machine gun positions too scientifically and setting the firepower too well.

Realizing that they had no way to escape, some people in the US military quickly raised their hands at us, but most of them were still lying on the ground and pretending to be dead. They were unwilling to give in. They knew that their large troops were next to them, and they were only a mountain away from them, so they were unwilling to surrender like this. But I will tell them with the next fact that it might be a good thing if they surrendered now.

Under my command, the gunfire stopped quickly, and the cannon also stopped, because no standing target could be found within the sight of the soldiers.

This cannot be said to be a war, it is a massacre. The US military finally experienced the power of their own weapons...

Let’s look at the other five high grounds. The dense gunfire sounds from those high grounds seem to tell us that they are also carrying out similar massacres to ours.

With a "boom!", a shell fell not far ahead of us. The earth and rocks flew high and shrapnel shot. A volunteer machine gunner screamed and fell to the ground, but someone immediately took over. Then two more shots, although they were not accurate, were very close to our machine gun position. When I saw that the situation was wrong, I quickly understood that it was the searchlight that exposed our position. So at the command, the soldiers lit all the searchlights, and the top of the mountain fell into darkness, and only the flares in the hands of the soldiers were still firing down one by one.

The difference between searchlights and flares is that although the former is more convenient and can illuminate wherever you want, it will expose your position; although the latter is slow to react and cannot last for a long time, the advantage is that it will not expose your position.

The flares were striking around in rows, and soon they found that there were only twenty people at the foot of the mountain. They seemed to be a hurry-organized US mortar unit. At this time, they found that they had been exposed. They were panicking and put away the mortars and were about to escape. But before they could take a few steps, the gunshots of anti-aircraft machine guns rang again. One by one, the US troops were bent up like shrimps and were beaten and flew away to the ground.

Except for one or two of the twenty people who ran quickly turned into a dead corner and saved their lives, the others turned into a pile of bloody dead bodies in the blink of an eye.

Seeing this, I couldn't help but smile bitterly. Under the firepower of anti-aircraft machine guns, I almost didn't even have the desire to raise a rifle to shoot.

"Captain Cui! I will take a few people to receive the prisoners!" Looking at the at least five or six hundred US troops on the backscene, Li Guoqiang waved the box cannon in his hand and said, "If they don't surrender, you will give them another ruthless!"

"No!" I hurriedly stopped, "Don't they surrender!"

"What?" Li Guoqiang was stunned when he heard this: "Then let them stay like this? I'm afraid they will change their clothes if they are in a while!"

"Let them stay like this!" I nodded and spit out a few words from my mouth: "Around the point and hit the support!"

Fence-arounding point attacks and aid is not a common tactic used by the Volunteer Army. Because the Volunteer Army is poorly equipped, even if it is equipped with Soviet weapons, it is not at the same level as the US military. Therefore, once the enemy is surrounded, it is afraid that the enemy will escape and strive to annihilate. "Fence-arounding point attacks and aid" is a tactic commonly used when dealing with the Vietnamese army who are also hiding in the tunnel during the Vietnam War, in order to lure them out and attack them.

This time, I also want to let the US military try this tactic.

Although the range of anti-aircraft machine guns is very long, they cannot play much role in the periphery of the US military because there are too many shooting dead corners in this mountainous position. If these anti-aircraft machine guns threaten the US military's surrender, it is not impossible, but the US military no longer controls it. They just need to retreat a distance and then use long-range artillery fire to cover our position. No matter what machine gun position is, it is useless...

But now if there is still one of their troops waiting for their rescue in our encirclement, from the perspective of the US military attaching importance to human lives and human rights, it is impossible for them to cover us with long-range artillery fire. If this is done, the American people will not spare them. Not to mention that UN Commander-in-Chief Li Qiwei will be done, even the US President may have stepped down because of this.

And more importantly, as long as there is such a US military force in our encirclement, the United Nations forces will inevitably rescue them. Once they come to rescue them, the anti-aircraft machine guns in our hands can still work again. They just fired randomly that time, and not one-third of the inventory has been destroyed. I don’t want such a sharp weapon to be unable to play a role.

"Add a support..." Li Guoqiang read my words several times, then seemed to understand something, but just looked at me in shock, and stopped saying anything and continued to command the soldiers to strengthen their position defense.

The signal flares hit the backscene one after another, always controlling the US military force in our field of view. The number of flares that the Americans stopped on the machine gun positions was large, so we can use them with confidence.

The US military also learned their lessons and all lay on the ground and did not dare to move. Because they knew that if they dared to stand up or acted in resistance, machine gun bullets and mortar shells on the high ground on both wings would soon hit them on their heads.

But what they never understood was why the enemies on the high ground on both wings did not shoot their lives or sent people to take over them, would they just let them lie in the mud and water overnight?

Of course this is not what I want. At this time, I was holding a telescope to observe the reaction of the United Nations troops on the periphery, but I saw nothing except the few flares they had randomly shot. They had already withdrawn the troops from the firepower of our machine gun positions, and there was no enemy in any place where our anti-aircraft machine guns could hit.

I know they must be in a dilemma now.

Save! Or not?

save!

They will inevitably suffer heavy casualties. Anti-aircraft machine guns and mortars are their own weapons, so they will not know how powerful these things are. What's more, these anti-aircraft machine guns and mortars are still condescending to secretly attack the light. The result of rescue is that there are most likely that there are more casualties than those rescued.

Not saved!

Strictly speaking, the US army in the middle is not our prisoners, and there are still rescues. If the army surrounded in the middle is a puppet army, then there is no need to consider it, but it is a US army. They are their citizens of the United States of America and their soldiers... If they are not rescued, how do they explain to the parents of these soldiers when they go back, how do they explain to the citizens of the US army, and how do they explain to the parliament?

I put down my telescope and directed the soldiers to carry out boxes of machine gun bullets and mortar shells, so that they could prepare for battle in the other direction. Because I knew that the US military would definitely choose to rescue because they could not afford to "not rescue". If they could ignore the lives of these more than 500 people, then the anti-war figures in the United States would have enough reason to stop the war and force them to return to the negotiating table.

The night is very dark, the cool breeze blows gently, and the pungent smell of gunpowder fills the entire valley. The searchlight has long been lost. Only when an eye-catching flare passes a beautiful arc in the sky can bring a little light to this cold and cruel battlefield. But the irony is this little light that makes us know the cruelty of the battlefield.

Just as the soldiers were busy carrying ammunition to build fortifications, suddenly there were a burst of motor sounds faintly. Then several dazzling headlights were shaking in the valley.

"Here you! It's the enemy's tank!" I said intimately. If there is anything else that can block the firepower of anti-aircraft machine guns, it is a tank. Therefore, the US military's rescue operation is absolutely indispensable. But even if the machine gun bullets and mortar shells are helpless to you tanks, I want to see how you should take this force out.

The soldiers loaded their machine guns one after another, while the gunners adjusted their mortars, prepared shells, and prepared for firing.

The "rumble" sound became louder and louder, and the light of the headlights became brighter and brighter. The US military troops trapped in the middle were also ready to move. Many people slowly crawled on the ground and approached the lights. Some even stood up in the gaps between flares and trotted forward to find cover. However, after the volunteer machine gunners in charge of controlling these US troops fired a shuttle at them and solved the exaggerated US troops, they no longer dared to make further moves.

It is not difficult to control them. Just split one out of the three anti-aircraft machine guns. And if they want to get out of the valley from this direction, they must pass through our high ground. At that time, even ordinary machine guns can deal with it...

With a "long...", a tank unit turned out from the foot of the mountain with a roar. The soldiers' hands and feet were not slow, and they didn't need to command and "bang..." a few times, and a row of flares were fired in the direction where the tank appeared. The enemy was soon exposed to us. You could see without a telescope, the enemies who were scared to the pale faces behind the tank, but...

This unit is a puppet army, yes, they are puppet army!
